Theme 3 was the first Theme to feature a pressing error. An instrumental version of This Earth That You Walk Upon graced the original single's B-side - this pressing hosted the album version. This was later rectified for the jewel cased separate Theme release (Virgin THEME 3) and the cassette version (Virgin THEMC 3).

Life In A Day was appended to the original single's running list simply because it was Simple Minds' first single. This inclusion tends to mess up the running order of the Themes IMHO, but it was the only time that Virgin seemed to suffer from a lack of imagination when compiling the tracks.
