This is the rarest of the UK promos - so rare that some fans questioned its existence.

This promotional box set carried the two LPs, separate colour booklet, double cassette and CD of the album - to sum up, it was all formats in one box. All the boxes carry a "Limited edition" and number on the spine, and I've seen No 275 for sale (which suggests a run of 300) but, even considering that, it's very, very rare.

A similar box set was produced for U2's The Joshua Tree - some U2 fans claim that the 'pizza' box was a counter-top display item. That may be true for The Joshua Tree but the Simple Minds version is too bulky to server as a display item. It's more likely that it was produced for friends, record company and press.
